Rulantica is the indoor water park of Europa-Park Resort, located in Rust, Baden-Württemberg, Germany — roughly 40 km north of Freiburg im Breisgau and 15 km east of the French border. It has its own dedicated south entrance, separate from the Europa-Park main gate, with its own visitor car park and direct connections from the Krønasår and Bell Rock hotels. Rulantica is open year-round with seasonal opening hours published on europa-park.de/en/rulantica — daily during school holidays and most weekends, with reduced weekday hours in shoulder season. Our shuttle service uses the same 55-km corridor as the Europa-Park pillar route (A35 then A5 via exit 57b Rust), only the final off-ramp changes.
From Strasbourg, the drive takes 50 minutes in normal conditions: 10 minutes to reach the A35 from central Strasbourg, 30 minutes of motorway to exit 57b Rust, then 5 to 10 minutes to the Rulantica south entrance. No tolls, neither on the French nor the German side — the fixed price shown by the calculator is the final price, without fuel surcharge, luggage fee or parking cost. Our driver drops you 50 metres from the Rulantica changing rooms — a proper drop-off, not the visitor car park where public transport arrives. For UK / Ireland / NL travellers, the practical route is a Eurostar or Ryanair flight to Paris then a TGV to Strasbourg (2 h 30), with our shuttle picking you up at the Strasbourg-Ville station.
We operate this service as both a taxi and a VTC (Voiture de Transport avec Chauffeur, French Grand Est licence) — you choose the mode. The VTC applies a fixed-price forfait announced before booking that never adjusts for traffic or evening surcharges. The taxi mode remains available for spontaneous pickups with the regular licence. We operate exclusively from Strasbourg (TGV station, city centre, SXB airport) — we do not currently serve pickups from Basel-Mulhouse (BSL), Karlsruhe-Baden (FKB), Frankfurt (FRA) or Zurich (ZRH). If you are flying into those airports, the ICE + SWEG bus 7231 combination or a rental car may be a better fit — we explain that honestly in the comparison table below.
